A field-service app that works where there's no signal

A service company runs forty technicians across a region. Jobs are recorded on paper, photos sit on personal phones, and customer signatures come back as scans days later. Invoicing waits on paperwork trickling in, so revenue lands a week after the work. Coverage drops in basements, plant rooms, and industrial sites — exactly where the work happens — so anything cloud-only fails at the moment it's needed.

The system: a mobile app that writes to the device first and treats the network as optional. Job sheets, photos, and signatures are captured offline and queued. When signal returns, the queue syncs, with rules on the server deciding what wins if the same job was touched twice. Photos compress and retry on their own. Nothing depends on a technician remembering to press sync.

What changes: invoices go out the same day, every job carries proof of what was done, and no work is lost because someone was underground.
